FLATNESS VS PROJECTION

This Mario World is a study and amalgamation of two elevations snapped in a desert world of Super Mario. My final product is an accurate depiction of these elevations exploded horizontally. For this project my main aim was to include every single piece from the elevations so that the final product is as correct and true to the these snapshots. Practicality and exactness was vital in my process and the understanding of how each block sat physically within the space was challenging for me. The way in which I have extruded the masses of sand hills into malleable blocks allowed for the design of hidden spaces behind, under and within the world. I have explored these hidden spaces by creating more pieces of pipes, water and tunnels that create a sense of articulated chaos within the rigid mass of my elevations.

Elements

This website was created for free using WIX, it is a tool I was encouraged to use during my time at university and was a site that I built up over the course of my undergraduate degree. I am currently in the process of creating a new website portfolio using a different hosting platform that I am keen to share.

I do not align myself with WIX or its views on the war in Gaza and the genocide of the Palestinian people.
