FoD:R | Module 3

PATTERN VS SURFACE

The artefact is an interesting combination of the forms and contours created by a sample of a Botticelli paining and a section of the rugged hills of the Tasmanian Landscape. The model depicts the changes in height and tone of the drapery sample through the differences in shape, position and distortion of the triangular modules. The shadows cast by each module mimic the creases of the elbow and the direction by which their peaks point imitate the downward flow of the fabric. This project is an exploration of repeating modules that are distorted and skewed to create the depth and intrigue of the surface by which they are placed.

This website was created for free using WIX, it is a tool I was encouraged to use during my time at university and was a site that I built up over the course of my undergraduate degree. I am currently in the process of creating a new website portfolio using a different hosting platform that I am keen to share.

I do not align myself with WIX or its views on the war in Gaza and the genocide of the Palestinian people.
